• The classification of cars doesn’t effect the clearance.
• You can check the tarriff rate for each items to be imported to Korea on this webpage( http://english.customs.go.kr).
• The HS code for cars(designed for transport of persons) will be basically 8703. Whether the cars are new or used does not effect to the classification of HS code.Try to put the word “Vehicle or car” or “HS code 8703″ in the search window.
• You will get rough information on it. PLZ, be attention. On this page, you can get the only custosm duty rate, not all the tax rates which will be levied on imported cars.
• The owner of the cars should register their cars to jurisdical authority before they use it.
• The imported cars shuld be certified that they have no problem enviornmental issues. They should go through the procedures about safety, noise and vibration at the relavant organization.
