| Eligibility for Importing a Vehicle (Car) into Vietnam |

Vietnamese people residing overseas who are permitted to repatriate.
- Vietnamese citizens who are sent by the State bodies (National Assembly, Government, Supreme People’s Procuracy, Supreme People’s Court, Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities) to carry out assignment, to work, or to act as specialists in foreign countries for a period of at least three years (excluding research students, apprentices, and undergraduates studying abroad, and employees).
- Each of the above-said subjects is permitted upon repatriating or returning home at the end of his/her term of office to import one car which is his/her personal property being used overseas.

- Charges on Importing cars will be reduced to between 47%-70% depending on vehicle engine sizes from 90% now.

Vietnam has 11 years to complete the tariffs reduction program. The new tariffs will be for an engine less than 1.5 liters, 47%: 1.5-2.0 liters, 52%; 2.0 liters under 3.0 liters, 58%; 3.0 liters and more, 70%.
- Vietnam will allow the import of motorbikes with a capacity of more than 175 cubic centimeters on July 31, 2007.

| Conditions (Rules & Regulation) Required for Imported Cars in Vietnam |

An imported car must have the left-handed steering wheel and be manufactured within 5 years up to the time of importation. The car’s engine must be possible to use unleaded petroleum. |
| 2. |
The delivery of the car to Vietnam shall be carried out before the eligible subject performing exit procedures in the country where he/she is residing. |
